PITTSBURGH (July 2026) – Buchanan
Ingersoll & Rooney is pleased to announce its Corporate Share
Program partners for 2026. The program pairs the firm’s
summer associates with private company partners for a short-term
secondment. In its 5th year, Buchanan added Hallmark and its
subsidiary Crayola, Inperium, Synctera, Mattress Firm and IKEA as
corporate partners, in addition to returning companies, including
Mr. Beast, Capital One, Hershey, PNC Bank, and Quality Carriers,
Inc. Also new for this year, the summer associate program has been
extended to the firm’s Chicago, Harrisburg, and San Diego
offices.
“Our summer associate program is integral to our commitment
to developing the next generation of legal talent. As our program
grows, the Corporate Share Program is one example of how we have
innovated to exceed expectations and provide enhanced professional
development and a richer experience,” said Jim Newell, the
firm’s Chairman and CEO. “It showcases the client
service, collaboration, and mentorship we value as a
firm.”
“We have had five years of success with the Corporate Share
program, and we are grateful to our incredible corporate partners
who offer meaningful opportunities to our summer class,” said
Lloyd Freeman, the firm’s Chief Experience Officer. “It
has become a crucial professional development program at Buchanan,
giving summer associates a deeper look at how we cultivate and
nurture client relationships. It provides a foundation for
understanding the client’s point of view, how corporate law
departments operate, and the output required by law firms to reach
excellence in client service and value.”
“This is an exciting year for our summer associate program.
Our corporate share program continues to be a valuable
differentiator for the firm, allowing the law students to learn by
spending time in the trenches with our corporate partners and
learning directly from in-house counsel. It is an active
professional development exercise on Buchanan’s standard of
excellence for client service, said Dani Rosetti, the firm’s
Chief Talent Officer. “In addition to our new corporate
partners, we’re also proud to be expanding our summer
associate program to the firm’s Chicago, Harrisburg and San
Diego offices.”
First launched in 2021 as a supplement to the firm’s summer
associate program, the Corporate Share Program allows each law
school student to be paired with a participating corporate partner
for a one to four-week period where they receive assignments from
in-house legal teams. The program was designed to give students a
holistic view of the legal profession, allow them to interact
directly with general counsels and in-house practitioners, and
provide them with unique mentorship opportunities.
Buchanan’s ten-week summer associate program offers students
a robust mix of training. They engage directly with firm attorneys
on various legal projects, participate in a comprehensive one-day
training held at Buchanan’s flagship office in Pittsburgh
that includes an advanced writing seminar, a professional etiquette
program, an in-depth explanation on the business of a law firm and
social events with built-in networking opportunities. The summer
associates have exclusive one-on-one sessions with members of firm
leadership, and benefit from numerous other tailored professional
development initiatives.
