GRATA International's Banking & Finance team successfully advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on a landmark USD 50 million financing deal with KMF Bank JSC in Kazakhstan.

GRATA's Banking & Finance team advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the Kazakh law aspects of two financing agreements with KMF Bank JSC for a total amount of USD 50 million, aimed at supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and fostering women entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan.

The transaction marks the very first financing concluded by KMF in its capacity as a bank, underscoring EBRD's continued support of financial institutions in Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh law aspects of the financing were led by Marina Kahiani (Partner), Yasmin Rashidova (Senior Associate), Zhan Jumaliyev (Junior Associate) and Balaussa Auyezova (Paralegal).
