SSEK Law Firm founding partner Ira A. Eddymurthy will participate as a speaker at The Indonesia Capital Market Institute (TICMI) Corporate Law for Executives program, "Strategic Decisions, Investments, and Corporate Criminal Risk and State-Owned Enterprise Boards – Building a Defensible Governance Framework in the Era of the New Criminal Code," to be held 3–4 June 2026 at Fairmont Jakarta.
Ira will speak on the second day of the program in a session titled "Strategic Transactions of State-Owned Enterprises: Mergers, Acquisitions & Spin-Offs from the Perspective of the New KUHP." Her session will discuss the legal framework and accountability mapping for corporate actions, including regulations under the Company Law, State-Owned Enterprise Law, OJK regulations, BP Danantara, and the New Criminal Code, as well as issues relating to criminal liability of corporations and directors.
The session also will cover due diligence and strategic risk evaluation, merger, acquisition and spin-off strategies for SOEs, implementation of new company formation and spin-offs, and lessons learned from transaction failures, governance practices, and strategic risk management.
The TICMI program is designed to strengthen the understanding of directors and commissioners in implementing strategic legal governance integrated with good corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.
