Stephen Stigall and Matthew Ebert, both members of Ballard Spahr's White Collar Defense and Investigations Group, will speak at the Association of Corporate Counsel's 15th Annual In-House Counsel Conference. Attendees can earn up to 6 CLE credits at two keynote programs and eight standard CLE sessions. A buffet breakfast to start the day, lunch, and an end-of-day reception are all also included with registration.

The event description:

Despite the Supreme Court's ruling that tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act are unconstitutional, organizations must remain vigilant and not forgo trade and tariff compliance. This session will reinforce how the Department of Justice (DOJ) has made tariff and customs enforcement a top priority, utilizing criminal and civil statutes as significant enforcement tools. Learn how the risk profile for all organizations that import goods or component parts is increased in light of enhancements to DOJ's Corporate Whistleblower Program. Panelists will cover strategies on the defense of tariff and customs enforcement and will include in that discussion the DOJ's increased incentives for voluntary self-disclosure.
