Foley Hoag advised Config, a Seoul- and San Jose-based startup building the data layer for robotics foundation models, in connection with its oversubscribed $27 million seed financing round. The round—which was led by Samsung Venture Investment, with participation from Hyundai's ZER01NE Ventures, LG Technology Ventures, SKT America, and angel investor Pieter Abbeel—values the company at more than $200 million, bringing Config's total funding to $35 million.
Config plans to scale its operations in Vietnam and Seoul to collect one million hours of robotic data, expand its enterprise platform business to $10 million ARR by the end of 2027, and launch a cloud-based Robot-as-a-Service product.
The Foley Hoag team advising Config was led by Jeongseok Jay Yu, Anna Snook, and Zach Mueller and included Alex Camp and Elizabeth Czech.
