A key highlight discussed throughout the visit was the launch of Delta Air Lines' new direct route between New York and Malta, commencing this June. During their time in New York, the team met with leading figures across real estate and advisory sectors, including Nikki Field, Founder of The Field Team at Sotheby's International Realty. The visit also included a meeting at the Consulate General of Malta in New York with Consul General Denise Demicoli. Discussions underscored the strong and historic ties between Malta and the United States, including a Maltese community of approximately 45,000 individuals in New York. The meeting further explored opportunities to promote Malta as a destination for relocation, investment, and international business.
