Global law firm K&L Gates LLP advised Walex Products Company, Inc., a market-leading cleaning and sanitation chemicals company headquartered in Leland, North Carolina, on its acquisition by Riverarch Equity Partners, a Pittsburgh-based private equity firm that invests in US and Europe-based distribution, food and beverage, business and consumer services, and specialized manufacturing businesses.

The K&L Gates Corporate deal team was led by Charlotte partner Sean Jones and Charleston partner Andrew Lloyd, with assistance from Charlotte associates Anna Sgrignoli and Andreas Myers. The multi-office team also included Charlotte partner Randy Clark for tax matters, San Francisco partner Rikki Sapolich-Krol for employee benefits matters, Raleigh partner Nicholle Allen-Steele for real estate matters, Raleigh counsel Mary Kristen Kelly for labor matters, and Washington, DC partner Vishal Mehta, Seattle associate Henry Brockway, and Washington, DC associate Carol Kim for antitrust matters.

"We're proud to have advised Walex on its transformative partnership with Riverarch and look forward to the next phase of its growth," noted Lloyd.

Jones added, "This transaction represents a testament to the foundation laid by Bill Williams and his father, Bob, almost 40 years ago, and the subsequent development of trusted brand names in a competitive industry."
