Daniel Schimmel, Partner and Chair of Foley Hoag’s International Commercial Arbitration Practice Group, has been elected Chair of the New York Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArbNY).
CIArb is a global center of excellence for the practice and profession of ADR, championing all aspects of dispute resolution across arbitration, mediation, and adjudication. It is an accrediting body for arbitrators that confers credentials that are widely recognized and respected around the world. The New York Branch is open to CIArb members in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. New York Arbitration Week is co-hosted by theNew York International Arbitration Center (NYIAC) and CIArbNY.
The new leadership of the Branch consists of Gretta Walters (Vice-Chair), Lea Haber Kuck (Treasurer) and Ulyana Bardyn (Secretary).
Schimmel recently completed a term as Vice Chair of the New York Branch. He is also a board member of NYIAC.
