McKercher LLP is pleased to announce that Bryan Witt will join the firm as Chief Operating Officer, effective January 26, 2026.
Bryan joins McKercher LLP from the Saskatchewan Health Authority, where he most recently served as a senior executive in the role of Vice President, Provincial Clinical and Support Services. He brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience within Saskatchewan’s health system, with a strong track record in operational excellence, continuous improvement, financial stewardship, and data-informed decision-making.
Throughout his career, Bryan has provided operational oversight for complex, multi-disciplinary portfolios with scope spanning financial stewardship, people and workforce management, technology enablement, facilities operations, and communications. He is known as a steady, credible leader who strengthens governance, quality, and execution–particularly in environments that value trust, structure, and thoughtful decision-making.
McKercher LLP’s current Chief Operating Officer, Veronica Bendig CPA, CGA, CPHR, is retiring from the position, which she has held since October 2018. During her tenure, Veronica played a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and supporting the firm’s strategic growth. Under her leadership, McKercher LLP strengthened its position as one of Saskatchewan’s leading law firms.
Veronica is recognized for her strategic vision, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and accountability. Her ability to balance operational rigor with a people-first approach earned her the respect of colleagues and partners alike.
