Gigi Pao, a class action lawyer at Siskinds LLP, was quoted in a Global News article reporting that Canadians may be eligible to receive a share of a class action settlement exceeding $70 million involving a division of TD Bank. The settlement was approved by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, with a claims deadline of December 20, 2025.
Anyone who held investment products with TD Mutual Funds on or
before September 11, 2024, may qualify for compensation if those
products were provided through a discount brokerage. Gigi noted
that discount brokerage services are most often offered by large
financial institutions, including major banks.
