On November 13, Jenner & Block partnered with Exelon Corporation to host a DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) Renewal Clinic at the firm's Chicago headquarters in recognition of EmPOWERing Pro Bono Day 2025.
At the clinic, volunteers collaborated with the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) to help DACA recipients complete and file their renewal applications.
Through the efforts of 21 in-house Exelon and ComEd (a unit of Chicago-based Exelon) volunteers and 12 Jenner lawyers, the team served nine DACA renewal clients whose applications all have been submitted to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
EmPOWERing Pro Bono Day is organized by Corporate Pro Bono—the global in-house project of the Pro Bono Institute—in partnership with Entergy Corporation and the Edison Electric Institute. The initiative brings together legal departments across the energy and utility industries to provide pro bono legal assistance to individuals and communities in need.
