The award was presented at CISHRP’s Gala Event on Friday, 10 October – coinciding with World Mental Health Day – underscoring the timeliness and impact of Morven’s leadership in workplace wellbeing.

This recognition reflects her sustained, evidence-based approach to embedding wellbeing into workplace culture across the law firm’s global network. Under her stewardship, the firm has moved beyond traditional awareness campaigns to a proactive, preventative model that promotes psychological safety, destigmatises mental health conversations, and ensures colleagues can access the right care at the right time.

Commenting on the honour, Morven said: “I am grateful to CISHRP for this recognition and to the many colleagues and partners who have helped bring our wellbeing vision to life. This award speaks to the power of collaboration and to the importance of designing programmes that are practical, inclusive and measurable. Above all, it’s a reminder that when we create the conditions for people to thrive, we build healthier teams and deliver better outcomes for our clients and communities.”

Morven has championed the adoption of Unmind, a workplace mental health platform with 86% uptake across 10 of the firm’s global offices, providing leaders and teams with on-demand training, therapy and coaching, and expert-led content. She has also established and expanded a network of Wellbeing Champions and led the training of 21 Mental Health Ambassadors—senior partners and executives—through the Positive Group’s programme focused on core psychological skills, equipping leaders to foster open, constructive dialogue.

Her inclusive approach addresses key health priorities throughout different life stages. Initiatives include the introduction of Menopause Champions and Menopause Guidance in partnership with empower4life, alongside expert-led sessions and resources that normalise women’s health conversations. Dedicated programming for men’s health covers men’s cancer, mental health, suicide awareness and general wellbeing, with a focus on reducing stigma and improving access to support.

Morven has also embedded storytelling and lived experience into the programme to drive authenticity and engagement, bringing in advocates, such as Dr Alex George, Dame Kelly Holmes (MBE), Jonny Benjamin (MBE) and Neil Laybourne. Complementing mental health supports, she has enhanced access to regional Employee Assistance Programmes (many extending to dependants) and strengthened community and physical wellbeing through Personify Health’s global step challenges, local charity walks and sporting events, and a flagship World Wellbeing Week featuring nutrition workshops, mini health checks, massages and healthy cooking demonstrations.

World Mental Health Day is a moment to reflect on progress and renew our commitment. We will continue to listen to our people, evolve our programming and partner with experts to ensure our wellbeing strategy delivers meaningful, measurable impact.
