RDJ advised MC2 Accountants, a leading Cork-based audit, tax, and advisory firm on its acquisition by UK accountancy group S&W.

Established in 2013, MC2 is one of Munster's leading audit, tax and business advisory firms, providing clients with a suite of end-to-end financial and business solutions.

S&W is a top ten UK accountancy firm with over 2,000 employees across Ireland and the UK, offering tax, audit, and advisory solutions.

The acquisition marks S&W's second acquisition in the Irish market this year following its acquisition of Dublin's Beechwood Partners. With MC2 joining the fold, S&W will add 47 professionals—including four partners—to its Irish operations, which now total over 160 employees. MC2 partner James Loughrey said the move will enhance their ability to deliver integrated solutions to clients in a more complex business environment.

The RDJ cross-practice team was led by Gillian Keating (Corporate and M&A) and included  Maria Walsh Elena Vassileva Arabella Carr, Sarah Alexander  (Corporate and M&A), John Cuddigan and Sarahjane  O'Shea  (Tax), Aideen Farrelly (Real Estate).
