Goodwin has advised EMZ Partners ("EMZ") on the financing of a management-sponsored transaction for koenig.solutions ("KS"), where EMZ is acquiring a minority stake in KS.
KS was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Walldorf, with additional offices in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, and the USA. The company is a specialized SAP service provider focused on SAP data management, system transformation (S/4HANA), and managed services for the energy and utilities sector.
Together with EMZ, the management team led by Artjom and Gottlieb König plans to build on the company's current momentum and further strengthen KS's market position through both organic growth and targeted strategic acquisitions. The goal is to develop KS into the leading consulting firm for SAP services in the energy and utilities sector across the DACH region in the coming years.
EMZ is a leading European investment firm with offices in Paris and Munich. The firm focuses on small-to-medium-sized companies and offers flexible capital solutions in strong partnerships with founders, family shareholders, and managers.
