Charles Russell Speechlys is pleased to announce the appointment of Libby Elliott as a Partner in the Corporate, Restructuring, and Insolvency team in London.
Prior to joining the Firm, Libby was a Managing Director and Head of Risk and Legal. Prior to this, she held a senior leadership position at KPMG and Partner roles at Dentons and Stephenson Harwood.
She has nearly 30 years’ experience in the financial advisory and insolvency landscape, and a strong reputation in the market for advising clients on high-profile domestic and cross-border restructurings, complex insolvency matters, large scale litigation and risk management. Libby also has significant experience in defending officeholders and their firms against claims, as well as navigating regulatory reviews and investigations.
Libby brings with her a unique skillset in dealing with the legal issues surrounding firms of insolvency practitioners and restructuring professionals moving to alternative business structures and platforms. She will be responsible for driving forward the Firm’s non-contentious restructuring and advisory work streams. The collaborative, cross practice nature of her work means she will be working closely with various teams including corporate, real estate, employment and litigation to strengthen the Firm’s market profile and attract new mandates from the wider market.
