Charles Russell Speechlys is delighted to announce that it has won two awards at the Legal Technology Awards 2025, being named the 'Most Innovative Firm of the Year' and receiving an award for 'Best Use Case in AI'.
The awards, hosted by Netlaw Media Ltd, are given across twelve prestigious categories, and honour outstanding achievements in legal technology, IT security, leadership, and innovation — "spotlighting the individuals, teams, and suppliers shaping the future of legal services".
Since the appointment of Joe Cohen, Director of Advanced Client Solutions, in December 2023, the team has grown substantially and developed a number of important initiatives and tools within the Firm - including its award-winning 'Russell Up' scheme, a programme under which all trainees and later-year apprentices across the Firm submit, progress and deliver an innovation project in each of their seats, and the recent adoption of Harvey.
The Firm achieved the 'Best Use Case in AI' award for its work on a cross-border piece of UK-Swiss litigation, in which it deployed Relativity's aiR for Review almost immediately after its release to market in the disclosure phase of the English litigation, saving around 180 manual review hours.
The team was comprised of Robert Avis, Christophe Levet and Olivier Cavadini (Geneva) and Oliver Auld, Rebecca Piper and Ben Haynes (Guildford).
