NEWPORT BEACH, California (October 3, 2025) – Holland & Knight represented the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA), a nonprofit, innovative art museum in Southern California, in its combination with the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine). UC Irvine is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities and is ranked among the nation's top 10 public universities by U.S. News & World Report. The transaction was completed on September 29.

The resulting entity, now named the UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art, brings together two renowned institutions under a shared vision of public access, scholarship and cultural engagement. Moving forward, the museum will showcase UC Irvine's celebrated Gerald Buck Collection and Irvine Museum Collection. Additionally, OCMA staff have joined UC Irvine as employees.

Holland & Knight Partner Bryan Gadol, head of the California Corporate, M&A and Private Equity Practice, and Senior Counsel Wendy Kottmeier (M&A) led the firm's representation of OCMA. They were assisted by Partner Jonathan Blum (Nonprofit and Tax-Exempt Organizations) and Associate Kate Minnich (Tax).
