Every year on September 30, Torkin Manes joins communities across Canada to take time to remember a poignant time in our nation's history –National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Created as a federal statutory holiday in 2021, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation was established in response to a call to action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, as a way to honour the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, along with their families and communities.
