Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is pleased to announce that partners Joshua Rosenberg and Constantine "Dean" Pamphilis have joined the firm's Business Trial practice group. Rosenberg joins the firm's Century City office from Venable LLP, and Pamphilis joins the firm's Houston office from Kasowitz LLP.
Since 2024, the firm has continued to expand its Business Trial practice with the addition of several high-profile litigation partners, including Joshua Hess, Camille Vasquez, Ben Chew, Wook Hwang and Tom Panoff. The arrivals of Rosenberg and Pamphilis further underscore Sheppard Mullin's reputation as a top destination for commercial litigation.
Rosenberg is an entertainment litigator who represents recording artists, actors, writers, producers, directors, film financiers, motion picture production companies and television studios and their executives in high-stakes litigation matters. His experience spans complex copyright, trademark and trade secret infringement matters, content and brand protection disputes, fraud and tort and breach of contract claims. He serves as lead counsel at both the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts, and in arbitral forums, on behalf of record labels, talent agencies, toy manufacturers and music management and live entertainment companies.
Pamphilis is a commercial litigator and the former managing partner of Kasowitz's Houston office and brings more than two decades of experience representing clients in commercial litigation, including energy, construction, brand reputation, real estate, securities, insurance recovery and competition disputes. He has litigated complex matters in federal and state courts, as well as before major arbitration forums, and has obtained multiple injunctions in the oil and gas and securities sectors.
"Josh and Dean are outstanding trial lawyers with an impressive track record representing sophisticated clients in various courts around the country," said Luca Salvi, chair of Sheppard Mullin. "Josh's experience will complement and support our entertainment and brand reputation practices, while Dean's position in the Houston market and his comprehensive track record adds more depth to both our Texas and national presence."
Sascha Henry, co-leader of Sheppard Mullin's Business Trial practice group added, "We are thrilled to welcome Josh and Dean to our premier commercial litigation practice. "The firm's preeminent litigation and entertainment practices, combined with its deep bench of talent, offer an ideal platform to expand my entertainment litigation work and support my clients in their most critical matters," said Rosenberg. "I'm excited to work with some of the nation's leading entertainment litigators."
"Sheppard Mullin's reputation for excellence in complex litigation and its commitment to growing its presence in Houston were key factors in my decision to join the firm," said Pamphilis. "I look forward to working alongside this exceptional Business Trial team in Houston and throughout the country."
