RPJ is proud to congratulate our long-time friend and client, Jonathan Gruber, on his Emmy® win at the 67th Capital Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in June 2025.

Gruber, an award-winning producer, was honored for his exceptional work on Outdoors Maryland: Nature's Classroom, which took home the Emmy in the Education/Schools – Short Form Content category. The segment, produced in collaboration with Stefanie Robey and supported by Sarah Sampson, delivers a compelling, visually rich narrative that reflects the hallmark quality of Outdoors Maryland.

A production of Maryland Public Television (MPT) in partnership with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Outdoors Maryland has been a mainstay in environmental programming since its debut in 1988. Now in its 36th season, the series has produced over 700 stories and earned more than 50 regional Emmy Awards. Earlier this year, it was also recognized for its short-form science segment Water From the Air.

In total, MPT earned 18 Capital Emmy Awards this year, with Nature's Classroom serving as a standout example of the powerful storytelling that continues to define the network's legacy – and Jonathan Gruber's.
