Pro Bono Committee Chair Susan Finegan and Mintz Member Martha Koster were recently featured in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for co-founding the Fellows Program of the Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The Fellows Program connects senior attorneys and retired judges with long-term pro bono projects on behalf of nonprofits, legal services organizations, and the courts. This initiative creates meaningful opportunities for retired legal professionals to continue contributing their expertise to important cases and causes. Over 220 Fellows have volunteered over 200,000 pro bono hours since the program’s inception.

The Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission seeks to achieve equal justice for all persons in the Commonwealth by providing leadership and vision to, and coordination with, the many organizations and interested persons involved in providing and improving access to justice for those unable to afford counsel.
