J A Kemp’s trade marks team has been recognised in IP STARS 2025, receiving a Tier 2 ranking in the category of Trade Mark Prosecution – Patent and Trade Mark Attorney Firms in the United Kingdom. IP STARS, published by Managing IP, is a leading guide to the top IP firms and practitioners worldwide, based on independent research and client and peer feedback.
In addition to the firm ranking, two of J A Kemp’s trade marks practitioners have been individually recognised as IP Stars for 2025:
Tom Albertini is listed for his work across trade marks and designs. He advises clients in sectors including fashion, food, luxury goods and non-profit organisations, focusing on brand protection and strategy.
James Fish is recognised as an IP Star for his experience in trade mark filing, prosecution and disputes. He supports clients across the arts, film & music, and food and beverage industries, advising on filing strategy; trade mark prosecution of unusual marks; conducting trade mark related litigation; and handling anti-dilution campaigns.
Three of J A Kemp’s patent practitioners have also been recognised as IP Stars:
Mark Roberts is recognised for his work drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications as well as advising on third party patents as part of due diligence and freedom to operate exercises. He advises on registration strategy and opposition and has extensive experience in sectors such as electronics and medical devices.
Amanda Simons is acknowledged for her work in patent strategy and counselling and her experience assisting clients in freedom to operate investigations and due diligence projects. She advises both those looking to invest in new technology and those seeking investment. She works with clients in the chemistry, academic, and life sciences sectors.
Ravi Srinivasan is recognised for his experience in patent litigation, strategy, and counselling. He supports clients in the pharmaceutical field, where he is equally at home advising on freedom to operate and due diligence matters and drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications at the European Patent Office (EPO) and elsewhere. Many of Ravi’s clients have broad filing programmes, and Ravi routinely takes responsibility for filing pharmaceutical applications in over 40 countries.
We look forward to the release of the firm rankings for patents later this year.
