William Fry is pleased to have advised UK-based alternative investment firm, Vertis Capital Partners (Vertis), on its investment in DunPort Capital Management (Dunport), a leading Dublin-based private credit manager.
As part of the transaction, Vertis will acquire an initial minority stake in DunPort and this stake is expected to increase in the future based on various milestones. DunPort’s executive directors, Pat Walsh and Ross Morrow, will continue to lead the business. DunPort will also collaborate closely with Vertis and its affiliate, Henry Costa Partners, a specialist merchant bank, to accelerate institutional fundraising and provide tailored fundraising solutions to channel capital from insurance companies and other long-term investors into the real economy.
The partnership marks a key step in the Vertis strategy to back best-in-class originators and expand access to private credit for the real economy.
