The Technology and Global M&A teams advised LoveFrom, Jony Ive's design company, as OpenAI signed a definitive agreement to merge with Jony Ive's AI devices startup io. This transformative transaction - the largest acquisition OpenAI has ever done - will position Mr. Ive and LoveFrom to assume deep design and creative responsibilities across OpenAI and allow io's team to work more closely with OpenAI's research, engineering, and product teams in San Francisco, allowing OpenAI's products to become truly multi-modal.

LoveFrom is an American design collective founded in 2019 by renowned designer Jony Ive, previously the Chief Design Officer at Apple where he led the design of iconic products such as the iMac, iPod, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

The Goodwin team was led by John Casnocha and Kelsey Lemaster, and also included Daniel Saposnik and Lawrence Chu (M&A), Stan Phillips, Ahmer Qureshi, Ari Ghavami, and Lucy Tataryan (Corporate), Cecily Xi (Tax), Lynda Galligan and Monica Patel (Executive Compensation) and Phil Baldwin (Employment).
