Butler Snow attorney Jim Letten will address the National Flood Conference, which takes place in Dallas, Texas, from June 1 to June 4, 2025. On June 3, Jim will participate in a "fireside chat" with Kim Boccio, Operations Manager & WYO Principal Coordinator at The Hartford, titled "How to Talk to Policyholders About Legal System Abuse and Fraud Risks." Their discussion is designed to educate client-facing flood professionals on emerging tactics.
As a member of Butler Snow's Commercial Litigation Group based in New Orleans, Letten consults and provides representation to both US and foreign corporations, focusing on the establishment, training and maintenance of US FCPA, UK Bribery Act and other corporate compliance and integrity programs; Anti-Money Laundering/Bank Secrecy Act/Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/BSA/CTF) corporate compliance programs; crafting and reviewing Anti-Corruption warranties in corporate mergers and acquisitions; training and monitoring state and local police departments on constitutional policing; directing and conducting internal corporate investigations; and advising/representing companies in federal criminal and regulatory investigations; as well as representing companies in complex litigation.
Letten is also a member of the Butler Snow team that has defended innumerable cases arising out of catastrophic events for flood losses brought under flood insurance policies issued by Write Your Own (WYO) insurers under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
