Our Halifax office is pleased to announce the addition of three new associates – Michael Conway, Emma Goulden, and Michelle Lahey.
Michael is a Litigation lawyer. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University and earned his JD, as well as a MBA, from Queens University. Michael provides advice and representation to employers on a wide range of labour and employment matters, including human rights cases, labour arbitration, collective bargaining, and employment litigation.
Emma brings her diverse professional background to our Business Law practice group. She completed a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University, a Master of Arts from Simon Fraser University, and obtained her JD at Schulich School of Law. Her work includes business acquisitions (both asset and share purchases), financings, commercial real estate, and entertainment law. She provides services to developers, lenders, business owners, and TV producers.
Michelle has also joined our Business Law team. She practices both Corporate & Commercial and Employment & Labour Law. Michelle received her B.A (Hons), and Certificate in Public Administration (Municipal Government) from Cape Breton University, and her B.C.L./LL.B. from McGill's Faculty of Law. She has appeared before all levels of Court in Nova Scotia, the Federal Courts, and various administrative tribunals.
