Global law firm K&L Gates has advised Gefran in its acquisition of a minority stake in 40Factory Srl through a fully subscribed and paid-in capital share increase.
With this investment, Gefran will enhance its ability to assist industrial machinery manufacturers in optimizing industrial processes and generating value from managed data.
Gefran is an Italian multinational company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange that specializes in the design and production of sensors, systems, and components for the automation and control of industrial processes.
40Factory is an innovative Italian scale-up company that provides an Industrial IoT platform for machinery manufacturers and end-users, enabling the collection, analysis, and enhancement of machine data. Its platform is integrated with a generative AI system designed to assist in the operation of industrial plants.
The deal team was led by Milan Corporate partner Arturo Meglio with assistance from senior associate Luca Nardello and associate Gaia Bacchi.
