As the head of Katten's New York Private Wealth practice, Ronni has served as a mentor, coach and advocate for the attorneys in her group. In her practice, she represents ultra-high-net-worth clients in various estate matters, handling estate and tax planning issues with domestic and international implications and resolving intra-family disputes. Ronni is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Kathryn von Matthiessen, a Private Wealth partner, was honored with Silver in the Inspirational Woman of the Year category. Based in New York, Kathryn is focused on sharing her knowledge with the industry through speaking engagements at industry conferences around the world while continuing to champion more junior attorneys at the firm and support their professional growth. Her practice concentrates on structuring global succession plans and advising on US tax and other myriad implications of foreign expansion and activities, as well as inbound investment into the United States or structures to benefit US family members.
The awards – highlighting individuals and companies that promote female leadership and support career progression of women within the wealth management sector, were originally created in London 14 years ago. They were recently extended to the USA, so as to include women in North America.
