Global law firm K&L Gates LLP served as counsel to Wabtec Corporation in its acquisition of Bloom Engineering, Inc., a leading provider in industrial burners and combustion systems. The acquisition strengthened Wabtec's portfolio of heat transfer and energy solutions with the addition of Bloom Engineering's extensive design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities. Bloom Engineering is a Pittsburgh-based company with subsidiaries in China, India, and Germany. Its international operations required the K&L Gates team to leverage the firm's international footprint to successfully structure, negotiate and close the transaction.
