Specialists from our Real Estate team have advised Avison Young, a global real estate services firm, on the grant of a new lease to move its London headquarters to the recently retrofitted Met Building in Fitzrovia.
The move will allow Avison Young to bring its London teams under one roof in the new 37,000 square foot premises. The newly retrofitted space includes a dedicated entrance and reception area, three floors of offices, terraces and generous cycle storage.
The advisory team was led by partners in our Real Estate Group, Matt Walker and Sally Pinkerton, with support from Principal Associates Clare Swinnerton and Ashley Yarwood, Associate Shan Claxton, and Associate Michael Tushingham (Tax).
Matt Walker commented: "Avison Young is a long-standing client of the firm and it has been a pleasure to work with the business once again on this strategically important move to deliver its new London headquarters. The Met Building will not only support Avison Young's commitment to sustainability but also enhance the company's operations with its people all being in the same location, lending itself to greater collaboration, providing a firm foundation for the future of the business."
Adrian Boyce, Principal and Co-Managing Director, London at Avison Young, said: "It’s been great working with all of the team at Gowling WLG. They have been wholly professional throughout and made the process easy and efficient for us to navigate."
