Khaitan & Co advised Deutsche Bahn AG, the German state-owned railway company in signing definitive documents for selling its logistics subsidiary, DB Schenker (together with its subsidiaries, "Schenker") to the Danish transport and logistics giant DSV. The value of the acquisition is EUR 14.3 billion. This strategic acquisition is expected to strengthen DSV's global network and operational capabilities significantly and will position DSV as one of the world's largest freight forwarders.
The Firm assisted Deutsche Bahn AG in conducting legal due diligence on Schenker's Indian subsidiary, Schenker India Private Limited and provided general advisory from an Indian law perspective.
