Sheppard Mullin’s Head of Global Media Robert Darwell was named 2024 Entertainment Lawyer of the Year by the Beverly Hills Bar Association Entertainment Law Section. This prestigious award recognizes leading figures in the entertainment industry for their significant contributions.
Darwell was recognized for his work on the development, finance, production and distribution of hundreds of motion pictures and television productions throughout the course of his legal career. He was also recognized for handling major newsworthy deals such as Disney’s termination of Bob and Harvey Weinstein (which garnered him the prestigious CLAY Award as California Entertainment Lawyer of the Year for Entertainment) and Disney’s subsequent sale of Miramax.
Darwell will be presented with his award on August 23 at the Association’s 2024 Entertainment Law Summit.
