former partner and friend Alex Lloyd, who passed away on July 7th.
Alex joined Shipman in 1967, became a partner in 1971 and became
managing partner in 1985. He served in that role until 1996,
leading the firm through a period of growth and prosperity.
He was beloved by his partners, who remember him for his
leadership, mentorship, and irreverent sense of humor. Alex was a
devoted family man and will be missed greatly.
