Los Angeles, Calif. (September 13, 2023) – Los Angeles Partner Mark A. Oertel will speak on construction project insurance at the upcoming Claims and Litigation Management (CLM) Construction Conference in Austin, Texas on September 28 at 2:30 p.m. CT.
In a 60-minute session, titled "Cover Your Bases: Construction Project Insurance," Mr. Oertel and his co-panelists will discuss potential coverages, including builders risk, surety or subcontractor default insurance, and comprehensive general liability. They will provide key insights on construction project coverage limitations, and potential steps to take to determine coverage availability.
Mr. Oertel is chair of Lewis Brisbois' Surety and Fidelity Practices, and has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of surety, fidelity, insurance law, professional liability, construction, and commercial disputes. He handles contract surety disputes involving all phases of payment and performance bond claims, litigation and recovery, fidelity bond claims and employee dishonesty claims.
