Riker Danzig Hosts “Hot Topics In Diversity, Equity And Inclusion” Webinar

Riker Danzig's Diversity Committee hosted a webinar for our clients, friends, alumni and attorneys on "Hot Topics in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" on May 11, 2023. Partner Edwin Chociey moderated the panel discussion. Our distinguished panelists were Sobande Afolabi of the Girl Scouts of the USA, Rippi Karda of Verizon Communications, Inc. and Akil Roper of Legal Services of New Jersey. Riker Danzig attorney Opeyemi Akinde, who helped to coordinate the program, also contributed to our panel discussion. Our panelists engaged in a spirited discussion concerning the practical application of diversity initiatives in their respective organizations. They discussed how their organizations develop and promote diverse attorneys. They addressed actionable DEI programs and goals, and the importance of allyship in organizational and law firm leadership in fostering DEI efforts.
