TENDER FOR GSM MOBILE PHONE NETWORK
There are only two applicants to operate the GSM mobile phone net - France Telecom and the consortium SlovTel including Norwegian NorTel and VS?.
The licenses will be granted at the beginning of August.
One of the two licenses will be granted to EuroTel, who recently signed an agreement with Slovak Telecom according to which mobile phone owners of the present system will not pay for incoming calls from June 1, 1996.
