In 6th May 2015 the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted the Law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on the state regulation on foreign trade activity" dated from 10 June 2015 № 128.

This Law will come into force on the date of entry into force of the Treaty of Affiliation of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union.

The main developments introduced by the Law are:

Licensing of foreign trade activity

In order to receive a license it is required to obtain expert opinion of the specialized organization on possibility to export and import goods. The reason of such requirement is economic interests, national and ecological security of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Protective measures for import goods

Article 15 was limited in view of signing by the Kyrgyz Republic the Agreement on the Euroasian Economic Union (EEU).

In view of protecting interests of local producers a special protective, antidumping and compensational measures were determined.

Supervision of export and (or) import of separate types of goods

Supervision of export and import of separate types of goods is subject to special permissions provided by international treaties.
