November 10, 2020 - North Bay in Ontario has become the 11th and final community to begin the process of accepting applications for the Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).

North Bay in Ontario has become the 11th and final community to begin the process of accepting applications for the Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).

A new website has been launched and community-specific criteria published for applicants looking to qualify for Canadian permanent residence through the program.

As well as meeting federal government criteria, candidates must have a job offer from a local employers and experience in the position being offered.

Candidates who meet the initial criteria will then be scored on a number of selection factors, including language ability, age, ties to the area and ability to driver.

The community has also published a list of National Occupational Classification codes that qualify for the program.
