On April 22, 2020, the Federal Government announced $9 billion in financial aid for post-secondary students who are not eligible for existing COVID-19 support programs. Eligible postsecondary students will receive $1,250 a month from May until August.
Eligible students include:
- Students currently attending postsecondary school;
- Students planning to start postsecondary school in September 2020;
- College and University students who graduated in December 2019; and
- College and University students who have jobs but are earning less than $1,000 per month.
As the financial aid has only recently been announced, we expect to provide further details as they become available.
