PORTUGAL MAKES ITS FIRST APPEARANCE IN THIS GUIDE WITH THREE LAWYERS, TWO FROM PLMJ

Who's Who Legal specialises in researching the leading lawyers from each country and is an official partner of the International Bar Association. In its WWL: Real Estate 2015 guide, Who's Who has recognised two PLMJ partners who specialise in real estate law, Sofia Gomes da Costa and Rita Alarcão Júdice, as two of the best real estate lawyers in Portugal.

Sofia Gomes da Costa led the team that handled the largest real estate deal that has taken place in Portugal in recent years. For this deal, Sophia's team advised Blackstone on the acquisition of five retail properties and five logistics facilities from ESAF – Espírito Santo Ativos Financeiros. In turn, Rita Alarcão Júdice led the team responsible for advising the buyer Global Real Estate Select Sicav-FIS, in the sale and leaseback deal for the Continente supermarket in Lisbon's Colombo shopping centre.

This is the first time the guide has recognised Portuguese lawyers. Of the three recognised, two are from PLMJ and one is from Braga da Costa, Ascensão, Marques, Almeida Garret & Associados.
