The global law firm Jones Day has announced that John M. Saada, Jr. has been appointed Partner-in-Charge of the Firm's Cleveland Office.

Mr. Saada, a partner in the Firm's Private Equity Practice, has worked in Jones Day's Cleveland Office for nearly 30 years, starting as a Summer Associate in 1992. He represents private equity and venture capital funds in their formation and governance and the organization and documentation of fund sponsors' internal firm arrangements and compensation matters.

Mr. Saada also regularly represents investors in their investments in a wide variety of private funds and represents private equity and venture capital funds, strategic investors, and privately held companies in various transactional activities, including venture investments, leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, exits, restructurings, joint ventures, and mezzanine financings.

"In John's legal career, in addition to serving our clients in transactional matters, he has held a number of leadership functions within the Cleveland Office, one of which includes leading the Office's transactional practices since 2013," said Kevyn Orr, Partner-in-Charge of the U.S. Region for Jones Day. "Throughout this time, John has helped clients achieve their strategic goals by representing them during some of their most significant matters. Mr. Saada succeeds Heather Lennox as Partner-in-Charge of the Cleveland Office, a position she has held since 2016.  Ms. Lennox was recently appointed Global Practice Leader of Jones Day's Business Restructuring & Reorganization Practice.

For decades, major corporate clients and their boards have called on lawyers in Jones Day's Cleveland Office to serve as their principal advisors for legal needs including sophisticated transactions, regulatory challenges, and complex trial and appellate litigation. The office also provides a multitude of pro bono legal services for local non-profit organizations and the Firm's lawyers in Cleveland serve on the boards of the region's key civic, charitable, and educational institutions.
