On December 16-17, 2021, the final stage of the International Student Competition on International Trade Law and International Commercial Arbitration "Chamber of Arbitrators - 2021" was held in Minsk.

The competition models the resolution of a dispute on the basis of the Arbitration Rules of the International Arbitration (Arbitration) Court of the "Chamber of Arbitrators under the Union of Lawyers", developed on the basis of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.

27 teams from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Ukraine took part in the first written stage of the competition, which consisted in the preparation and submission of plaintiff's and defendant's memorandums on jurisdiction and the merits of the dispute.

12 teams reached the final round, including the teams of Ala-Too International University (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan), KAZGUU University named after. M.S. Narikbayev (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan), St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg, RF), All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade (Moscow, RF), teams from universities of the Republic of Belarus (P.M. Y. Kupala, GSU named after F. Skorina, MITSO), 4 teams from BSU.

Final results of the Competition:

I place - Team No. 9 - Gomel State University. F. Skorina

II place - Team №4 - Belarusian State University

III place - Team No. 12 - MITSO International University and Team No. 14 - All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade

III place - Team No. 9 - Gomel State University. F.Skorina

Respondent's best memorandum:

Rutkovsky Andrei Yurievich (Team No. 4 - Belarusian State University).

The organizers of the competition expressed special gratitude to the team of GRATA International referees: Dmitry Viltovsky, Alexander Korsak, Natalia Zhuk (Belarus), Mikhail German (St. Petersburg), Askar Konysbayev (Kazakhstan), Elvira Maratova (Kyrgyzstan), whose highly professional refereeing allowed the participants of the final the atmosphere of a real arbitration case.
