As the capabilities of AI and machine learning expand to address
a wider range of challenges, the question has arisen of whether a
computer can be considered to be an inventor within the framework
of the patent system and, if so, how the connected issue of
ownership should be dealt with. These issues are currently the

assesses patentability in this area and providing some practical
advice.
