Riker Danzig welcomed five 2023 Summer Associates to the Firm on June 5. The Firm's Summer Associate Program is designed with professional development as the primary goal, providing each Summer Associate with exposure to numerous Riker Danzig attorneys and practice areas while performing written work-product and pro bono assignments. The work assignments allow each Summer Associate to become a part of the team of attorneys working on a case or transaction. Each summer associate is assigned a partner mentor and an associate mentor.

Riker Danzig's 2023 Summer Associates:

Ruben Attia received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in Political Science from Yeshiva University in 2020. At Yeshiva, he was a Finalist for Yeshiva College Valedictorian and on the Dean's List all semesters. At Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Ruben is the Staff Editor of the Cardozo International and Comparative Law Review (Volume VI) and a recipient of the Dean's Merit Scholarship.

Samantha Fitzgeraldreceived her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in History, with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences in 2021. While at Rutgers, Samantha was involved in several honor societies and received a certificate of completion for Public History and Law and History. At University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law, she is the Co-President of the Women's Bar Association, Community Service Chair of the Students Supporting Maryland Women's Law Center, Winner of the 2022 Final Round In-House Negotiation Competition, and the Staff Editor of the Maryland Law Review.

Daniela Nieves received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, in Criminal Justice with a minor in Legal Studies from Rutgers University in 2019. While at Rutgers, Daniela was on Dean's List all semesters and a member of the Tau Sigma Honor Society. At Rutgers Law School, she is a member of the Minority Student Program and is the 2L Rep of the Association of Latin American Law Students.

Spencer Shih received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in Political Science with a minor in Economics from The George Washington University in 2021. At Fordham University School of Law, Spencer is a Staff Member of the Fordham Law Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal (IPLJ).

Allison Straubreceived her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in History with minors in Politics: Pre-Law, English and Philosophy from The Catholic University of America in 2021. At Boston College Law School, Allison is the recipient of a Merit scholarship. She participates in the Public Interest Law Foundation, Environmental Law Society, Women's Law Center and American Constitution Society.
