Foley Hoag LLP represented Modern Hydrogen (formerly Modern Electron), a sustainable heat and hydrogen company, in an oversubscribed $32.8 million Series B-2 funding round, led by NextEra Energy, with participation from Muira, National Grid Partners and existing investors.

Modern Hydrogen will leverage the investment to scale-up the capacity of its hydrogen production units. The capital will also be utilized to expand the company's clean carbon material offerings and boost its global market presence via a partnership with Miura in Japan.

The Foley Hoag team representing Modern Hydrogen in the funding round included attorneys Mark Haddad and Emily Cain.
