After a successful event in 2022, Durham University Law School will be hosting a summer course on international arbitration between 10-15 July 2023.

The course is targeted at:

  • practitioners who want to expand their skill-set or discover a new field of practice;
  • scholars seeking to gain expertise in the application of concepts and norms within the field of international arbitration; and
  • students seeking exposure to the world of international dispute resolution.

We are pleased to share that HSF Partner Christian Leathley, who is US Head of Arbitration and Head of Latin America group, will be teaching on the course. Christian will be speaking alongside John Fellas, Wendy Miles KC, Charles T. Kotuby Jr., FCIArb and other esteemed guests, including Rt. Hon Dame Elizabeth Gloster, Sir Bernard Rix, Constantine Partasides KC (Three Crowns), Karyl Nairn KC (Arbitrator), Penny Madden KC (Gibson Dunn), Mahnaz Malik (Twenty Essex), Sylvia Tonova (Pinsent Masons), Tim Smyth (Arnold & Porter), Professor Can Eken (Durham), Professor Lei Chen (Durham – Chair in International Arbitration and Chinese Law).
