Arnold & Porter partner Deborah Fishman was named to the
Daily Journal's 2023 list of "Top Intellectual
Property Lawyers." The yearly announcement recognizes
California's standout intellectual property lawyers
"working in patent litigation, trademark and
copyright."
Daily Journal's profile of Fishman recognized her as a
"leader in life sciences litigation" at a pivotal time.
The publication especially noted her leadership role in a recently
resolved U.S. Supreme Court matter with a fundamental policy
dispute over the scope of enablement in patents claiming
therapeutic antibodies.
Fishman focuses her practice on intellectual property, with a
particular emphasis on biopharmaceutical and medical device patent
litigation. As an IP litigator, Fishman has represented leading
life sciences companies in all aspects of complex patent
litigation. Her experience includes bringing and defending patent
infringement actions concerning biologic therapeutics (such as
recombinant proteins and antibodies) and medical devices (such as
bipolar surgical instruments and ophthalmic imaging
techniques).
This is the second time that Fishman has been named to this
list.
