The Importance of Philanthropy

Please join us for an event to celebrate 40 years of grant making by the Foley Hoag Foundation. Founded in December of 1980, the Foundation has made over $3.8M in grants to more than 475 unique grantees in Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C. While the COVID-19 pandemic delayed previous plans to celebrate this milestone, we are ready to gather to acknowledge this accomplishment; thank all who have supported our efforts to build more equitable communities; and recognize the extraordinary contributions that retiring Trustee Mike Keating has made to the Foundation since it was founded.

Paul Grogan, the former President and CEO of the Boston Foundation, will share with us his observations on the importance of philanthropy today and reflect on his work experiences with Mike.

A reception with refreshments and hors d'oeuvres to follow after the program.
