Can decisions in relation to the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments be appealed?
Cyprus

Answer ... Yes, it is possible to appeal such decisions; however, under Cyprus law, an appeal does not suspend execution of the decision appealed. As regards judgments issued by the courts of EU member states, Article 49 of EU Regulation 1215/2012 expressly prescribes that decisions on applications for refusal of enforcement may be appealed by either party.

If a party wishes to suspend execution, it can do so by filing an application for a stay of execution pending the appeal (please also see Article 49 of the regulation).
