To file a TRADEMARK APPLICATION in Estonia the following information is needed:

NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE APPLICANT

SPECIFICATION OF GOODS AND/OR SERVICES USING EITHER:
  • a) the entire class headings of the International Classes or
  • b) goods and/or services most relevant to the client's product/service line;
  • The expression "all the goods (services) of the class" is not allowed since January 1997.

PRINTS
  • for combined and figurative marks high quality representation;
  • number of copies by formula 14 + (n-1), where "n" is a number of classes;
  • cutting size of the prints is 8 x 8 cm;

If requested, the patent attorney prepares all necessary copies (including coloured) of the original print.

POWER OF ATTORNEY

  • unlegalized Power of Attorney
  • the indication of full name and position of the person who signs the power of attorney is requested.
  • Foreigners must be represented by the Estonian Patent Attorney. The Power of Attorney shall be submitted with the Patent Office within a period of 2 months. Please note that till January 1997 this period was only 2 weeks.

FOR CLAIMING PRIORITY

  • country, and number and date of the application;
  • the priority document shall be submitted with the Patent Office within a period of 3 months.
